UNLEASHING YOUR DESIRES

Until you are clear, until you can see it, until you can feel it in your heart, until you can give it word and sound and color, you cannot attract anything you desire. This exercise is offered to support you in giving word, sound, color and life to your desires so that these things will be registered in the universe. Once you register your desires in the universal energy, the universe gets busy bringing them to fruition. This is a four step process that will also support you in moving through any resistance, doubt or fear that may be attached to your desires. As you write, you may encounter these things having never realized that they were present. No matter what doubts, fears or hesitation surface – – – keep writing and trust that as you write all resistance will be neutralized.

Once you complete all four steps, the list you will work with is the last list; the “What I Am Now Ready to Receive” list. You are encouraged to read this list each day for 21 consecutive days. As you read it, allow yourself to feel the reality of your desires coming to life within your mind and heart. As you become clearer, feel free to make changes to the list. Keep reading and repeating the entire list to yourself daily. You may also want to place the list where you can see it every day. You will be delightfully surprised about the good that will unfold in your life as you give yourself permission to get acquainted and become clear about what you really, really want. Your energy will unleash your desires.

For this process, you are asked to write down what you desire in every area of your life, using 10 words or less to describe what you want. Be mindful of your entire life experience including how you want to feel, look and what you desire to do. Remember travel, rest, fun and service can all be included. Close your eyes; take a long deep breath and tap into your deepest desires to answer the questions; What I Want Is . . . What I Really Want Is . . . What I Really Want Now Is . . . What I Am Now Ready and Willing to Receive Now Is . . .

For each list you create . . .

STEP 1

Write down what you think you want. It doesn’t matter what it is, just write it down by completing the statement; “What I want is . . .” You are encouraged to write as many things as you can think of each day, for a minimum of three days, being mindful of the things that are repeated and the things that fall away. Each item listed should be described with 10 words or less.

STEP II

Write down what you feel and believe you want by completing the statement, “What I REALLY want is . . .” Again, it doesn’t matter what you write as long as you have emotional energy attached to the desire. This means when you think about it, you become excited, or frightened or tearful or something. You are encouraged to write as many things as you can think of each day, for a minimum of five days, being mindful of the things that are repeated and the things that fall away. Each item listed should be described with 10 words or less.

STEP III

Write down what you feel and believe you want by completing the statement, “What I Really Want Now is . . .” Now is the present moment; this day, right where you are as you are. Do not waste time trying to figure out how you will/can get your desires; simply write down what you want now! And . . . think big. You are encouraged to write as many things as you can think of each day, for a minimum of seven days, being mindful of the things that are repeated and the things that fall away. Each item listed should be described with 10 words or less.

STEP IV

In this step, the rubber meets the road! Write down what you feel and believe you want by completing the statement, “What I Am Ready and Willing to Receive Now Is . . .

Receiving has nothing to do with having, getting or making it happen. Receiving is about being available, accessible and willing to allow the universe to do the work on your behalf. Believe it or not, this is where most of us have the greatest difficulty. We think we have to work for what we desire. We think we have to do something and make something happen in order to get or have what we desire. These are habitual thought patterns that generate all sorts of fear, resistance, doubt and a lack of trust in the benevolence of life. This is also an opportunity to become clear about what we believe is possible and, what we believe we deserve.

For these reason, you are encouraged to take your time and give a great deal of thought to this final list. You are encouraged to write as many things as you can think of each day, for a minimum of nine days, being mindful of the things that are repeated and the things that fall away.
